Azimo accepted into Future Fifty programme from Tech City UK

Azimo, a London-based online money transfer service from MCI.TechVentures fund’s portfolio, has been accepted into Future Fifty programme from Tech City UK. It powers 50 of the UK’s fastest growing and most disruptive digital tech companies through a programme of networking opportunities, private partnerships and direct links to the UK government.

This year the organizers of the programme received over 104 applications. Azimo was ranked in the top 26 companies accepted into the programme. The panel, made up of advisors from companies such as ASOS, Deloitte, KPMG and Accel informed that Azimo has "unique opportunity to scale and become a powerhouse in the global tech economy".
According to the data provided by Future Fifty, the companies accepted into the programme up-to-date have raised 3.8 billion USD in total and have employed 27,000 people. Five of them made IPOs on the London Stock exchange.
MCI Capital has a strong exposition on FinTech industry. Aside from Azimo, funds associated with MCI have stakes in such companies as iZettle, MarketInvoice and Dotpay / eCard.
